Hello lovelies, hope you all are keeping well and our enjoying the newly refurbished layout of the blog? Im delighted with how everything is looking right now! What do you think? all feedback is much appreciated!
Anyway, back to the blog post, this is a little bit of an usual look from me as I’m not one to really ever wear sporty jackets and trainers, but, I feel like puffer jackets are just so cool at the moment and difficult to avoid. This is my take, I suppose, on the whole effortless sporty girl vibe. Which, by the way, is not as effortless as one might think! Honestly, does anyone else feel like the whole “I just through this on” style is the most difficult to pull off?!
As I’m not one to do things half hearted I decided to go for a bright red puffer jacket, not a more subtle colour to see how I feel about the look, but a red one, and a bright red one at that. I feel completely out of my comfort zone wearing this jacket and to be honest, I feel like a totally different kind of girl while wearing it – like a cooler version of me.
That’s what I love about fashion, the fact that a single jacket can transform your mindset and give you a different kind of confidence you thought you never had. It can let you be whatever version of yourself you decide to be that day, it can give you the confidence to nail that job interview or work presentation.
Never underestimate a great outfit.
I think this outfit would look even better with a pair of Mom jeans or something in a paler denim, but unfortunately with it being just after Christmas when these photos were taken, Mom jeans weren’t looking so great on my thighs! Not to worry though, the whole “new year new me” buzz has well and truly kicked in and with a sun holiday in early April looming in the dark corners of my mind I am back on the healthy train. Its only the second week in January as I’m writing this so fingers crossed I don’t fall of the wagon too soon!
