Hey Guys, hope you all are doing well and are having a good start to your week? I have to say, Tuesdays are definitely my least favourite day of the week. They are by far my longest day in work and the day I feel that is just so far from Friday. I know Mondays ‘technically’ are the farthest away from Friday, but normally I look forward to Mondays – #mondaymotivation and #newweeknewme and all that. Monday is fab a day to forget a crappy week or an indulgent weekend and just start afresh!
I have a little post here about some samples I got recently which I felt were definitely worth mentioning. I got so many samples of products last month and ‘gifts with purchase’ from when I went shopping in Sephora, and some of which, turned out to be right gems. So, I thought I would share them with you.
Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay mask – This product is AbFab in my opinion. Its a super rich and moisturising clay mask that leaves your skin super calm, plump and glowing. Its not like normal clay masks in the fact that it doesn’t set so hard on your face that it hurts to smile. Its consistency is more like a really thick cream that maskes your skin softer than a baby’s bum!
Origins Drink-Up Intensive Mask – This is an overnight mask which is also meant to hydrate and repair your skin. This mask smells downright amazing, like a citrus fruit salad, to be honest the scent of this mask would make me repurchase it straight away for that reason alone. Its quite a gentle mask and drys in immediately so you don’t have to worry about ruining your sheets. After sleeping with this mask on my skin feels really plump and moisturised.
Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm – this product pretty much does exactly what it says in the tin. It removes all your make up with one cleanse – its magical. It is scent free, which, is great for my sensitive skin and a really lovely all round product to use. This is going to be something that I am 100% going to treat myself to in the airport this weekend. I think I might try one of their moisturisers as well, any suggestions?
Rodial Dragons Blood Hyaluronic Toner – This is my first ever experience of a spritzing toner, and I have to be honest here, its changed my life! Before, I though a spritzing toner was a bit of a faff or waste of money. But, this little sample product was an absolute pleasure to use and a really enjoyable step in my skincare routine. I love spritzing it on my face particularly when I’m just out of the shower as this is when my skin is at its most aggravated.
Clinique Chubby Lash Mascara – Okay so this mascara is a complete game changer for thickening up my lashes and making them more dramatic. It adds a lot of volume and definition/length and is jet black, which I love. Its definitely been my go to night out mascara as It just does the job so well and is incredibly impactful.
Givenchy Mascara – Now this is a lovely mascara and has become my go to day time mascara, as it give you such long length on your lashes without being clumpy. It is just a pleasure to use as the formula is really easy to work with and easy to get even coverage across all your lashes and is also great for layering your mascara. The wand is quite unusual too as it is comprised of three little balls rather than your standard shape wand.
Make – Up Forever Step 1 Primer – This is a fab primer for smoothing out your base and filing in your pores. Its a little less silicone than the Benefit Porefessional, which is great as it feels less heavy on the skin.
Clinique Lipstick/Balm – This lipstick is almost like a nourishing lip balm for the lips. I suffer from chapped lips quite a bit (my love of matte lipsticks and lipliners are not helping me ) but this lipstick make my lips feel brand new just after a couple hours of wear. Its also in the most perfect nude/pink shade and Ive been quite enjoying it as it is different to my matte lipsticks which I have been wearing to death!
