Yamamori Sushi

About two weeks ago Pete and I went on a bit of an impulse night out on the town, we had all the fun and drank all the jager bombs, needless to say we were in TOP form the following day! Honestly I don’t know how it happens, you plan to go out for a nice meal and then next thing you know your dieing in bed the next day (*insert eye covering monkey emoji here).

I took some snaps from the night so I thought I would share them with you and tell you about one of my favourite restaurants. Yamamori Sushi is located just opposite the Ha’penny bridge on Lower Ormond Quay in Dublin. Its a really cool Japanese restaurant that serves sushi and Asian fusion cuisine. The decor and layout is really contemporary and different from your average restaurant, its a great birthday party or date night restaurant in my opinion.

So for starters we ordered some Nigiri sushi, we got the tuna and the spicy shrimp. The tuna is one of my favourites. You can order sushi dishes as your mains as well, but seeing as it was Pete’s first time trying sushi we just had a little to start. I think he liked it though? Still hasn’t been confirmed ha!

For my main I ordered a seafood rice dish which had prawns, squid, tuna and salmon, served with a miso soup. The portions are huge, hence, our small starter of sushi. Pete got a shredded beef main served with lettuce leaves to wrap the beef in and a side of wild rice. It was delicious. They do some amazing cocktails too, so make sure to order one!

And because we always have room for desert we got the banoffi pie and ice cream to share although it was more of a banoffi crumble, but we’ll let them away with it!
