Discovering Origins

I was in need of a new moisturiser as my Clarins Multi Active Jour had ran out. As I was about to repurchase I thought, why not try something new from a brand I had never used before, must have been in some sort of Friday feeling mood! I love discovering new products to review and tell you guys about, and as I was wandering through the department store I stumbled across the Origins counter.

I always heard great things about this brand but was always put off by the fact that most of their products are quite pricey. But I got talking to the girl at the counter as you do, and I told her I needed something to calm my skin, as I feel like redness is my biggest concern these days. I no longer have oily skin anymore so I am a bit in limbo as to what products to purchase these days.

She suggested their ‘A Perfect World SPF 25’ day moisturiser. Now, Ive been using it day and night, as a new night cream shall have to wait for another pay day. Its says it is an age-defence moisturiser that is super-charged with antioxidants and White Tea. The girl at the counter told me it will help my skin fight against harsh chemicals and pollution and obviously the sun. It will also help my redness and discolouration over continued use.

The product smells like a tropical paradise, which might have been one of the main reasons I gravitated towards it! It honestly smells amazing and it hasn’t had any sort of effect on my sensitive skin, which I was a little skeptical about. It claims that the White Tea, Maritime Pine and UVA/UVB sunscreens surround the skin like a protective bubble to help delay premature ageing. I wonder when premature ageing became a bigger concern of mine over acne breakouts?

I have been using this product for awhile now and I must say I am rather enjoying it! It is a little “greasier” than what I’m used to from the sunscreen in the product, but nevertheless, I haven’t had ANY reactions since using it. I think its a really lovely moisturiser and I would be excited to try some more of their products from this range.
