Homemade Granola

I thought seeing as its international breakfast week I might as well blog my homemade granola recipe. Making your own granola is really simple, all you have to do is make it to your own liking and taste. I have made a few different variations in the past but this nutty granola is probably one of my favourites. Of course take out any ingredients you don’t like or add any you do like. It’s your granola after all.

I don’t have granola all the time, I like to mix up my breakfasts quite a bit. But I would never eat supermarket granola as its just full of sugar which is really unnecessary! Granola tastes great without any of those added nasties. I prefer to eat my granola with some skimmed milk but you could eat it with fruit and yogurt if you like.

2 cups od oats

1 cup of raisins

pumpkin seeds

Whole almonds

Flaked cocnut


Flaked almonds

Dried fruit of your choice

Agave Nectar

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp cinnamon

You can add as much or as little of the seeds/nuts as you like. Mix it all together in a mixing bowl and bake in a low oven for 20-25 mins.
