Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

I was recently gifted the Charlotte Tilbury best seller Filmstar Bronze and Glow for my birthday this year. Ive had it for about three weeks now using it on and off as I wanted to compare it to my other favourite bronzers and give it an in-depth review because, lets face it, its not the cheapest product on the market!

Ive wanted to try this product for such a long time and I will admit I was a Charlotte Tilbury virgin until I tried this bronzing and highlighting duo (shock, horror)! Its just her products are a little out of my price range right now with working in retail part time and being an intern (the joy!). One day I will be able to go in with my ever expanding Charlotte Tilbury list of products I want but, until that day comes birthdays and Christmas’s will have to suffice!

So, onto the good stuff. Like most twenty-something girls I’m an absolute sucker for a pretty packaged product – and this did not disappoint. The product felt really luxurious with its four part packaging and its attractive rose gold case.

The bronzing end of the product is my favourite. Its really cool toned which suits me best as anything too warm and I would need to be wearing a lot of fake tan, which I’m not always. So, I like the fact it can be used for everyday application as well as special occasions. Its also not extremely pigmented to the point wear you need to tap your brush excessively for fear of looking like Ross Geller with a spray tan! But rather you need to build it up.

The highlight is not super in your face either which kind of let me down a little bit – I hate to say it! Maybe its because I’m so used to my MAC highlighters which can be seen from space, but I feel like you have to apply the highlight quite generously. On the other hand if you like a more subtle/natural highlight then its perfect.

Overall I feel like this is a super product for everyday wear as your guaranteed an even finish without ever going overboard with the bronzer or highlight.
