Birthday Make-up Menu

bdayyyyy

Hello Again!

In conjunction with the birthday theme I thought I would share with you the products I used to create my birthday make-up. Most of them are new-ish so expect some reviewing on the new products as well.

BASE: For my base I primed my skin with my MAC Strobe Cream – love this product. For foundation I used my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, I have reviewed this foundation before – here.

CONCEALER: I repurchased an old favourite of mine which I had kind of forgotten about – The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in shade 2 – and wont be forgetting about for a very long time as its amazing!! And to highlight I used MAC’s Prep and Prime in Lightboost.

POWDER: A new one for me – MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium. Its a great lightweight powder containing minerals for your skin. I think this is a great everyday powder and a great one if you are into a more luminous finish.

BRONZER & BLUSH: I used my trusty MAC Matte Bronze to contour my cheekbones and nose and to bronze my forehead. I always go a tad overboard with bronzing my forehead because my forehead is the size of a small European country 🙂 For blush I purchased a new Max Factor Baked Blush in the shade Gorgeous Berries. Okay so this blush is defo meant for a much darker skin tone than me but if you use it very lightly it gives the most beautiful dark pink colour. Perfect for clubbing make-up but I personally wouldn’t use for day time on myself.

HIGHLIGHT: MAC Soft and Gentle

EYEBROWS: My Anastasia Beverely Hills Dip Brow has well and truly had its day so until Im in a Sephora to repurchase it I picked up the Maybelline Master Brow Pro Palette, Which has definitely rekindled my love for powder brow products! I really do like this product and it was dirt cheap as well, definitley worth a try!! It comes with two cool toned browns and a highlight.

EYES: I used all matte shades from the warm side of my Smashbox Full Exposure Palette. I was going for minimal eye shadow as I wanted to go for a a soft eye and a bold lip combo. I purchased the new Fleur De Force lashes from Eylure. I got the corner lashes as I find full strip lashes look weird on me? Maybe I’m just not used to them, but I LOVED these lashes!! Definitely will be repurchasing and fingers crossed they are not limited edition!

LIPS: I purchased two new lip products for my birthday and I can not stop wearing these two colours alone and separately! I purchased MAC ‘Captive’ lipstick which is a beautiful maroon shade, although the photo makes it look more pinky, its a browny/purple shade. Absolutely loving that one! And to line my lips I got MAC Dervish lip pencil which is a browny/pink shade. Perfect for a matte nude lip.

So…there you have it a full menu of all the makeup products I wore for my birthday!
